The supercams are installed on the square end of the torsional rod. Each supercam fits into the groove in the screw adjuster. Turning the screw adjuster causes each cam to rotate and turn the torsional rod, thereby twisting the blade and changing the pitch. This in-flight version uses a cam arrangement in conjunction with a geared DC motor. The system operates on a 12 volt motorcycle or aircraft battery. This motor and the planetary gearbox is enclosed with IVO Prop’s standard aluminum spinner. You control the pitch through the toggle switch mounted in the cockpit. The blade pitch is adjustable over a range of about 12˚. The pitch change operations are similar to the power windows in a car. As long as you hold down the switch one way – the pitch goes up.
